Osseoflex® SB steerable balloon

Osseoflex-SB-3_4

The Osseoflex® SB is a steerable inflatable bone tamp used for cavity creation that provides access to the entire vertebral body, for the treatment of vertebral compression fractures.

Utilizing either a bipedicular or unipedicular approach, (based on the channel created by the Osseoflex® SN+ steerable needle) the Osseoflex SB steerable balloon compacts cancellous bone to allow bone cement to be delivered with precision directly to the pathology. If used unipedicular, the single point access reduces procedure time and decreases risk to the patient.

Features

  • Radiopaque marker indicates accurate positioning
  • Can create a central cavity across the sagittal midline
  • Compacts cancellous bone

Description and Indications for Use

Osseoflex SB Description

The Osseoflex SB steerable balloon is an inflatable bone tamp intended for use as a conventional bone tamp for the reduction of fractures and/or creation of a void in cancellous bone in the spine, hand, tibia, radius and calcaneus. After the bone is disrupted, polymeric bone cement is injected through the Osseoflex SN+ steerable vertebral augmentation needle to fill the previously created void.
