Osseoflex™

Osseoflex is a steerable and curvable delivery system, which allows unparalleled navigation within the vertebral body. The system enables direct access to the entire vertebral body by way of a unipedicular approach for percutaneous vertebral augmentation, with or without cavity creation. Both methods are achieved through the disruption of cancellous bone by steering and channeling the device through the bone, thereby creating a void within the vertebral body. After the bone is disrupted, polymeric bone cement is injected through the Osseoflex™ 1.0 Steerable Vertebral Augmentation Needle to fill the previously created void.
The Osseoflex system is designed for use with Osseoperm™ bone cement. When these two technologies are combined the procedure is referred to as Osseoplasty™.
Steerability and Curvability:
Because of the unique Osseoflex distal tip design, the operator has complete control over the curvature and direction of the delivery needle at all times, providing direct access to the entire vertebral body. The following graphics highlight the Osseoflex dynamic range of motion (from 0 to 100 degrees of tip flexion) and precision in bone cement delivery:
